Flappy Clone – almost done

Quick update video of the flappy clone i am working on.

Interesting bug/issue i came across. The pipes belong to a parent object “Pipe Holder”. the pipe holder and the pipe have different tags assigns, which are used for collision detection. When colliding with a pipe i was getting the tag of the parent object and not the pipe itself. could not figure out why so just coded around it.

If anyone knows why this is I would love to hear from you.

Anywho, back to it 🙂

Learning all the things

After running into road blocks with my Level33 build, it as become clear to me that the best way forward is to become a master of the Unity Game engine. To that end I am working my way through a number of courses/tutorials on the subject.

This is a video of the first game that I have been working my way through.

 

Level33 – HUD updates and bug fixed elevators

Sorry for the lack of updates. As mentioned in myprevious post, a bug in the elevator animation code took me a while to figure out.

In good news, bug fixed and head up display now has countdown timer and level tracking elements. mmm..tasty!!

 

Level33 – working elevator animation

The elevator animations continue and i think we’re just about done. still need to add sound but i’m happy with the effect that moving the lights has created.
