Gary get iOS approval

Well that was easier and quickeer than expected!!

Still not visible in the app store as of the time of writing, but it should be there within 24 hours 🙂

Needless to say I’ll be checking it constantly and will most likely do a big announcement across all the socials once its accessible.

Game number 1 all but done and dusted. Winning!!

Rejected!!

Well i knew it would happen but i’m pretty stoked how quick it happened. only took a day, when ive been reading it can take up to 2 weeks for apple to review you app submission, so while its kinda a bummer (not really) the speedy turn around is certainly appreciated.

Issue was that it looks like balls on an iPad, which admittedly i gave zero thought too when building it. i put it in the too hard basket and they called me on it. Easy fixes though so its now been resubmitted. Hopefully Gary gets through this time and we can et on with some serious user testing. 🙂

Once this new version is approved i’ll roll out an update on android also just to make sure that both store have the codebase.

Gary running on iOS

Well that sucked!!

Getting gary running on an apple machine was PAINFUL!! Now i know that there is a metric shit ton of work that is going on behind the scenes in order to make all of these things run. especially cross platform support like Unity does, but wow!! talk about hurdles!!

Anywho, got there in the end so now Gary is running on my OLD ipad 2. frame rate is rubbish but i’m going to blame the old hardware on that for now until i can get it on something a litle more current.

Now to join the apple developer program, pay them whatever there current fee is and start the process of getting Gary into the app store proper. I’ll probs need some Apple testers so if ur keen hit let me know.

Be mine already!!

in this day and age of instant gratification, which as a Gen-x-er is not something i grew up with, but is definitely something i have become accustomed to, i WANT this thing NOW!!
