AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!
Apple are the worst!!
Gary and the Jetpack runs on everything. Everything tested and working. Android, deployed and live on the app store with in an hour. Thx!! you guys rock!!
Apple, running on my iPad no issues. Built for app stopre, compiles and no errors. Upload to app store. wait for a review over night. Error, app wont load at all?!?! get crash logs. Completely friggin useless as they are not symbolicated (i know what the hell is that even?) but i ticked the box and uploaded all the stuff to get symbolicated crash logs so thx!!
2 hours of googling and still cant symbolicate the crash logs.
Send multiple messages and get links to super long and quite honestly unhelpful articles about nothing. Still can get usable crash logs. cant get any feedback from them at all re: where the app crashes.
If they didn’t have the market share they do I don’t think anyone would actually develop for them.
Only thing different between avalanche and jetpack is i’m setting the target framerate to 60 for smoother graphics because of course apple defaults to 30 which looks shit and you need to manually tell apple not to suck!! So made this same change to avalanche and have uploaded to app store to see if this change causes avalanche to fail or if its fine.
while i’m at it. uploading to google takes about 5 minutes. processing about 2 minutes. App store, 40 minuts to upload and 45 minutes to process. Legit!!
There endeth the rant for now!!

Its finally time.
I have just submitted Gary and the Jetpack for approval on the iOS and google play store. Store listings complete and everythign ready to go.
Current launch date/time (as long as everything goes to plan) will be 28th June, 12pm (AEST).
Its been a great little game to work on. I feel like it has improved upon Gary and the Avalanche and I now have a few things to go back and revisit on Avalanche in order to improve it.
Big thanks as always to my Team Alpha guys. I modified the game play and collectibles a fair bit based on their feedback from the initial alpha and the game is definitely better for it.
As of time of writing we have 44 hours to go until launch. Time to go update all the socials and start spreading the word.
